Our Founder
Orum Young, Jr., Founder of E. Orum Young Law, LLC, graduated from Northeast Louisiana University (NLU) in 1971. Thereafter he performed post-graduate work at Louisiana State University (LSU).
In 1979, Mr. Young received a Juris Doctorate from Brigham Young University (BYU) School of Law. While attending BYU, he was a recognized as Editor of the Moot Court Program. Brigham Young University is consistently ranked in the Top 50 of law schools in the United States.
Mr. Young is admitted to practice law in Louisiana. His career as an attorney began with him being commissioned by the Governor of Louisiana to be an Assistant District Attorney for the Fourth Judicial District Attorney in Ouachita Parish.
Northeast Louisiana Legal Services has three times recognized Mr. Young as a community leader by presenting him with the Pro Bono Attorney award for his dedication to serving his community.
For the past 35 years, E. Orum Young Jr. has filed bankruptcies in Northeast Louisiana. He founded the law firm E. Orum Young Law, LLC and has grown its practice to include five attorneys to assist clients in stopping harassing creditors and gaining debt relief.
The E. Orum Young Mock Trial Courtroom and Auditorium at the University of Louisiana at Monroe (ULM) was named in his honor.
